This is a desert culture ride the way locals move through this region: slow, open-air, and free to stop whenever something catches your eye. On a classic moped, we leave the paved road behind and follow tracks toward some of the most surprising places around Erfoud and Rissani.

You’ll discover the HannsJörg Voth—monumental earth-and-stone artworks in the Sahara such as City of Orion, The Golden Spiral, and Stairway to Heaven. We’ll take time to walk around the site, enjoy the views, and hear the story behind how these pieces were created in the open desert. then ride to the dramatic rock “island” of Gara Medouar, a natural fortress surrounded by cliffs. We continue to the khettarat (khattarat)—ancient underground water channels—where you’ll learn how people made life possible in this dry landscape long before modern pumps and roads.

We finish around Rissani, exploring old ksars and desert villages, with time for photos, tea breaks, and stories about caravans, trade routes, and daily life at the edge of the Sahara. No off-road experience is required—we keep it simple, safe, and fun.
