This 2‑day experience is made for travelers who want more than a quick day trip—more time in the fossil sites, more desert scenery, and a real night outside. You’ll explore two very different chapters of Morocco’s prehistoric story: Devonian rock layers from ancient seas, and Cretaceous landscapes from the dinosaur era.

Along the way, you’ll learn how to spot fossils in the field, how to recognize the most common types, and what the landscape looked like when these animals were alive. The pace is relaxed with plenty of stops for photos, tea breaks, and searching.

At night we set up a wild camp away from the lights. We cook dinner, sit under a huge sky, and enjoy stargazing in the silence of the Sahara.

You can do the trip by car for comfort, or choose the self‑drive moped option for a more immersive way to travel through the desert at a slower pace. No fossil experience is needed—we guide you the whole time.

On day 2, we continue into Cretaceous landscapes—young enough to be part of the dinosaur era—and spend the day searching, learning how to recognize what you see, and enjoying the open Sahara scenery.
